West Cluster Cross-Country!

It was the day, the time to shine! To show that Tauriko School could run!

We got prepared and the kind-hearted parents took us to our destination. As we walked into the Gate Pa school grounds everyone was feeling the butterflies in their stomach and shivering as they gossiped. Hearts were beating fast as the year four girls started off the action.

Another race started as another race finished."Are you girls ready?"Miss O'Reilly questioned us, before we jogged over to the starting line feeling the nerves. Soon the hooter blew, we were off. Our race came to an end. We had finished!

The clouds started to cry. "Looks like there is going to be no prize giving." Lisa announced, feeling disappointed. "Oh well" Libby replied "We know how well we have gone we don't need a certificate". There was nodding of heads all round.

At the end of the day we were all very pleased with our results. Eight students from Tauriko School managed to go through to the Western Bay Of Plenty cross country.

A big thank you to all the parents who helped out on the day we couldn't have done it without you and well done to those Tauriko School students who made it to the West Cluster they did very well to get there.
